1. Export Development

The export value of North Maluku Province in December 2018 was US $ 46.06 million, a decrease of 45.09 percent compared to November 2018 which was valued at US $ 83.89 million.

North Maluku exports in December 2018 were in the form of ore, crust and metal ash goods (HS 26) to China and iron and steel (HS 72) to China and Taiwan.

Cumulatively, North Maluku's exports from January to December 2018 amounted to US $ 676.20 million, an increase of 148.52 percent compared to the January-December 2017 period of US $ 272.09 million.

Cumulatively, the export volume of North Maluku in January-December 2018 was 11.01 million tons, an increase of 342.91 percent compared to January of December 2017 which was 2.49 million tons.

The value of Indonesia's exports in December 2018 reached US $ 14.18 billion or decreased by 4.89 percent compared to November 2018 exports. Likewise, compared to December 2017 it declined 4.62 percent.

Cumulatively, Indonesia's export value from January to December 2018 reached US $ 180.06 billion, an increase of 6.65 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

2. Import Development

The import value of North Maluku Province in December 2018 was US $ 28.33 million, a decrease of 3.54 percent compared to November 2018 which was valued at US $ 29.36 million.

North Maluku's import volume in December 2018 was 73.03 thousand tons or an increase of 106.75 percent compared to November 2018 which was 35.32 thousand tons.

In December 2018, North Maluku Province imported 24 categories of goods with the largest import value in the category of machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) worth US $ 14.18 million.

North Maluku imported goods in December 2018 came from China and Switzerland.

The import value of North Maluku in January-December 2018 was US $ 292.22 million or an increase of 95.03 percent compared to the January-December 2017 imports of US $ 149.84 million.

North Maluku's import volume from January to December 2018 was 499.56 thousand tons or an increase of 59.37 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

Indonesia's import value in December 2018 reached US $ 15.28 billion, down 9.60 percent compared to November 2018, compared to December 2017, up 1.16 percent.
