Abstract

The work force in February 2018 was 588.0 thousand people. Increased by 30.8 thousand people compared to the workforce in February 2017.
  • Residents work in North Maluku in February 2018 as many as 560,6 thousand people. An increase of 30.3 thousand people compared to the working population in February 2017.
  • Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) in February 2018 was 71.49 percent. Increased 2.01 percentage points compared to February 2017 TPAK.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2018 was 4.65 percent. Down 0.16 percent compared to February 2017 TPT.
  • As many as 64.85 percent of workers in North Maluku work on informal activities.
  • Categories of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries absorb the largest workforce of the working population, ie 223.4 thousand people or 39.84 percent of the total workers.
  • In February 2018, there were 33.87 per cent of the working population not full (hours less than 35 hours per week), covering 11.14 per cent of the underemployed and 22.73 per cent of part-time workers.
