Abstract

The value of North Maluku Province exports in May 2018 amounted to US $ 78.22 million, an increase of 70.28 percent compared to April 2018 which amounted to US $ 45.93 million.
  • The North Maluku exports in May 2018 were iron and steel (HS 72), and the ore, crust and ash (HS 26) grade goods with destination countries of China, India and Taiwan.
  • Cumulatively, North Maluku exports from January to May 2018 amounted to US $ 241.29 million, an increase of 234.59 percent compared to January-May 2017 period of US $ 72.11 million.
  • Cumulatively, North Maluku's export volume from January to May 2018 amounted to 4.08 million tons, an increase of 2,822.69 percent compared to January-May 2017 which amounted to 287.85 thousand tons.
  • Indonesia's export value in May 2018 reached US $ 16.12 billion, an increase of 10.90 percent compared to April 2018. Meanwhile, compared to May 2017, it increased by 12.47 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the value of Indonesian exports from January to May 2018 reached US $ 74.93 billion, an increase of 9.25 percent over the same period in 2017.
  • The value of North Maluku Province imports in May 2018 amounted to US $ 35.33 million, an increase of 324.57 percent compared to April 2018 which amounted to US $ 8.32 million.
  • The volume of imports of North Maluku in May 2018 reached 35.29 thousand tons or an increase of 11.67 percent compared to April 2018 which amounted to 31.60 thousand tons. 
  • In May 2018, North Maluku Province imported 22 (twenty two) classes of goods with the largest value of imports on the machinery / aircraft mechanics group (HS 84) valued at US $ 13.69 million.
  • North Maluku imported goods in May 2018 came from China and Cameroon.
  • The value of North Maluku's imports from January to May 2018 was US $ 103.38 million or an increase of 291.16 percent compared to January-May 2017 imports worth US $ 26.43 million.
  • The import volume of North Maluku from January to May 2018 is 163.22 thousand tons or an increase of 82.38 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
  • The value of Indonesian imports in May 2018 reached US $ 17.64 billion, up 9.17 percent compared to April 2018, as well as compared to May 2017 increased 28.12 percent.
