Abstract

In August 2018, the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Utara Province was 99.41 or an increase of 0.50 percent when compared to the previous month (July 2018) of 98.92
  • Of the 10 (ten) Provinces in Eastern Indonesia, NTP in August 2018 against July 2018 increased NTP in 5 (five) provinces, namely Sulawesi Utara, Sulawesi Tenggara, Gorontalo, Maluku Utara, and West Papua by 0.62 percent, respectively. 0.51 percent, 0.83 percent, 0.50 percent and 0.53 percent. While the other 5 (five) provinces experienced a decrease in NTP, where the largest NTP decline occurred in Sulawesi Tengah by 0.86 percent.
  • Nationally, NTP has increased from July 2018 to August 2018, from 101.66 to 102.56 or an increase of 0.89 percent.
  • In August 2018, Maluku Utara Province experienced rural inflation of -0.02 percent (deflation) caused by a decline in the household consumption index in the expenditure group of Foodstuffs.
  • National Rural Inflation in December 2018 amounted to -0.32 percent (deflation) caused by a decrease in the price index in the expenditure group of Foodstuffs.
  • North Maluku Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2018 amounted to 112.72 or decreased 0.06 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP (July 2018) of 112.79.
