Abstract

The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of North Maluku Province in quarter IV-2018 amounted to 100.15, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers slightly increased compared to the previous quarter. Consumer optimism in the fourth quarter of 2018 was higher compared to the previous quarter (index value 98.13).
  • The improvement in economic conditions felt by consumers in the fourth quarter of 2018 was driven by an increase in the volume of consumption of goods / services with an index of 111.02. and purchasing power seen from the index of the influence of inflation does not affect the level of consumption with an index value of 101.56.
  • The ITK value of North Maluku Province in quarter I-2019 is estimated at 105.71, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers in the coming quarter are expected to increase.
  • The increase in economic conditions in quarter I-2019 was due to an estimated increase in household income with an index value of 105.77 and a plan to purchase durable goods with an index value of 105.60.
