Maluku Utara Poverty Rate of March 2018 is 6.64 Percent

Abstract

The number of poor people in Maluku Utara Province in March 2018 amounted to 81.46 thousand people (6.64 percent), increased by about 3.2 thousand people compared to the poor in September 2017 which amounted to 78.28 thousand people (6.44 percent).
The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2018 amounted to 3.80 percent or increased by 0.10 points compared to September 2017 of 3.70 percent. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2018 increased 0.23 points to 7.78 percent compared to the situation in September 2017 which amounted to 7.55 percent.
The Poverty Line in March 2018 amounted to Rp.412,266, - or increased by approximately fourteen thousand Nine hundred rupiah (3.76 percent) compared to September 2017 of Rp.397.340, -.
In the period September 2017 - March 2018, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) slightly increased from 0.814 in September 2017 to 0.892 in March 2018. Meanwhile, the Poverty Severity Index (P2) also increased from 0.149 in September 2017 to 0.192 in March 2018.
